Bison Bag Co. began in 1968 when founder, James C. Streicher built the first bag converting machine in his basement. That machine was put into operation in a small 2,500-square-foot building in Buffalo, NY and Bison Bag began manufacturing.
A lot has changed over the years. The first sign of growth was moving to a 5,000-square-foot location in Tonawanda, NY. There the business continued to grow and an addition was built to make the building 12,500 square feet.
In 1997, Bison Bag relocated to a new location in Lockport, NY, just outside of Buffalo, NY, with about 30,000-sqaure feet, where it has grown rapidly in both product lines and size.
In 2003, a 25,000-square foot warehouse was constructed, adding on to the building, to make room for additional production equipment and capabiliites.
In 2012, a new ink room was constructed, connected to the existing ink room, to add ink storage capacity, as well as ink recycling equipment.
In 2015, another plant expansion was completed adding 43,500 additional sq ft of space to be used for both manufacturing & warehousing.
Today, Bison Bag resides in a 95,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility with the ability to custom manufacture and print a large variety of flexible packaging products.
Bison Bag is currently privately owned and operated by two families, and although the company has grown into a high-end packaging operation, we continue to serve all customers, big and small, with the highest degree of service and quality.
To this day, we live by the motto, that "Our Customer's Success is our Success", and therefore, we go overboard to make sure each and every customer succeeds.
